StockYatra began with a simple question: why is learning to invest so much harder for someone in Nepal than for someone in a big-market country? The tools were in English. The examples were foreign companies. The communities beginners found were often tip groups. And the first mistakes were usually made with real money. We are a team in Nepal, and we decided to build the tool we wished existed. Now we want to build it for everyone who has been left out in the same way, wherever they are.

Our mission
Help anyone learn to invest safely, in their own language, before risking real money. Every feature we build has to serve that sentence. Lessons teach. The simulator lets you practise with virtual coins. Leagues and streaks help you keep going. The community lets you learn from others. Safety features protect you from people who would exploit a beginner.
Our ambition
We are building the world's most complete learning-first paper trading app. That is an ambition, not a boast, and we measure it publicly with a 15-point checklist anyone can use. "Learning-first" means the simulator exists to serve education, not the other way round. "Complete" means one app covers what learners usually have to piece together from several tools. We explain those missing pieces in what global paper trading apps miss.
Six principles we build by
1. Free per trade
Practice should never cost you per click. Fees make people practise less, which defeats the purpose. StockYatra is always free to trade.
2. Learning in your language
Nobody should need to master English before they can learn about money. Our lessons have explainer videos in Nepali, English and Hindi, and our help videos are in Nepali. More languages are part of the direction.
3. Safety first
Beginners are targets. We ban buy/sell tips in chat, make only StockYatra links tappable, give everyone a report button, moderate actively and publish safety videos. We will always say it plainly: StockYatra never asks for money, an OTP or bank details.
4. No real-money hype
Coins are virtual and stay virtual. Creators in Promote & Earn must never claim real-money earnings. We will not show fake profit screenshots or promise returns, because that is exactly the behaviour we teach people to walk away from.
5. Data and education, never advice
StockYatra is a software company, not a broker. We show market data, charts and tools, and we teach how markets work. We do not tell anyone what to buy or sell.
6. Built with learners
Many features started as questions in chat or reviews in the app stores. We read them, publish them in our Loved by Users screen, and build from them.
Who we build for
Global trading tools do a great job for experienced traders in the biggest markets. We build for the many learners they overlook: people who think in Nepali, Hindi and other languages; people whose home market is NEPSE or another emerging exchange; students; first-time investors who want to understand before they commit; and friends who want to learn together.
Why build it from Nepal?
Because we know the problem first-hand. We know what it is like to open an English-only app and guess at the words, to hear about an IPO from a relative and not know what Meroshare is, and to see a "guaranteed 50%" message in a family group. Building from Nepal keeps us honest about who we serve. It also shows that a world-class product can come from a smaller market. StockYatra is a product of Lacspace, an Asia-based technology company, and it is built here, in Nepal.

- 57 courses and 117 lessons with videos in three languages, and a Watch feed.
- Leagues, streaks and a daily call, and the Yatra Bazaar.
- A moderated community, and Nepal tools such as an IPO tracker and view-only NEPSE data.

What's next
We do not publish dated promises, because we would rather ship than announce. The direction is clear, though: more markets, more languages, better ways to learn together, and stronger safety as the community grows. Every step will keep the same principles: free per trade, virtual coins only, and education rather than advice.
