How the Forex board works.
Why it's called Forex
In the StockYatra app this board is labelled Forex because it is the one priced in a foreign currency — US dollars. What you trade on it are US-listed company shares, not currency pairs.
How the prices behave
Prices come from StockYatra's market engine, anchored to each company's real-world price level in dollars and moving tick by tick. They are for education and practice — not official exchange quotes — and may differ from NYSE or NASDAQ.
How practice money works
Prices stay in dollars ($). When you place a practice trade, the cost is converted into coins at a fixed rate shown in the app, and orders can be fractional, so even high-priced names are within reach. Practice trading runs around the clock.
Forex stocks — common questions.
What are US stock market hours?
The regular session on the New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ runs Monday to Friday, 09:30 to 16:00 Eastern Time, excluding US market holidays. StockYatra's practice board keeps running outside those hours.
Is the Forex board about currencies?
No. On StockYatra, Forex is simply the label for the US-dollar board. It lists US company shares such as Apple, Microsoft and NVIDIA, not currency pairs.
Are these real US stock prices?
They are live-simulated by StockYatra's engine around each stock's real-world price level, so they move like a real market. They are not official quotes. StockYatra is a paper-trading simulator: no real securities are bought or sold, no real money is at risk, and nothing on this page is investment advice.
