Meroshare guide

Meroshare login and password reset

Meroshare login needs three things: your DP (chosen from a list), your username and your password. Most login problems are a wrong DP, an expired password or an expired account — all fixable.

How to log in

  1. 1

    Open the official site

Go to meroshare.cdsc.com.np (or the official Meroshare app). Check the address — phishing copies exist.

  2. 2

    Select your DP

Choose the DP that opened your demat account from the drop-down. Choosing a different branch/company of the same bank is a common cause of 'invalid credentials'.

  3. 3

    Enter username and password

The username is the one your DP gave you (not your BOID unless your DP says so).

  4. 4

    Change the password if asked

On first login, or when your password expires, Meroshare asks you to set a new one before continuing.

Forgot your password?

  1. 1

    Click 'Forgot your password?'

It's on the Meroshare login page.

  2. 2

    Enter your DP and username/details

Fill in what the form asks for (DP and username, and any details it requests).

  3. 3

    Check your registered email

The reset link or temporary password goes to the email registered with your DP. Check spam too.

  4. 4

Log in and set a new password

Use a strong password you haven't used elsewhere.

  5. 5

    Still stuck? Contact your DP

If your email is wrong/old, you don't receive anything, or the account is locked after many failed attempts, your DP can update the email or unlock/reset the account.

The transaction PIN

Meroshare asks for a 4-digit transaction PIN when you apply for an issue and when you confirm an EDIS transfer. It's separate from your password. If you forget it, look for the PIN change/reset option in your profile; if that isn't available to you, your DP can reset it.

Frequently asked questions

What is my Meroshare username?

The username your DP issued when it activated Meroshare. If you've lost it, ask your DP — they can look it up.

Why does Meroshare say my password expired?

Meroshare passwords expire periodically for security. Set a new one when prompted, or use 'Forgot your password?'.

Can my broker reset my Meroshare password?

Only your DP manages your Meroshare account. If your broker is also your DP, then yes; otherwise go to the DP that opened your demat.
