NEPSE moved from Sunday–Thursday to Monday–Friday from 6 April 2026, after the government made Saturday and Sunday the weekly holidays.

Some April 2026 reports quoted '9 am–5 pm' — those are government office hours. Trading itself is reported as 11:00–15:00. For holiday closures and any change, NEPSE's own notice on nepalstock.com is final.

Per-stock price limit (circuit)

Since 20 April 2026, a stock can trade at most ±15% from its previous close in one day (it was ±10%). Hitting the top is called upper circuit; the bottom, lower circuit. Orders outside the band are not accepted.

Newly listed shares and adjusted prices after bonus/right can follow special first-day rules set by NEPSE — we couldn't confirm the current first-day band from a primary source, so check NEPSE's notice for that listing.
