Trademark Policy
How the StockYatra and Lacspace names and logos may and may not be used.
At a glance
- "StockYatra", "Lacspace", their logos and our candle brand mark are trademarks of Lacspace.
- You may truthfully refer to StockYatra — but never in a way that implies we endorse you.
- Do not use our marks in your product, company, app, domain, logo or merchandise.
- Want to use a mark or need brand assets? Email [legal@stockyatra.com](mailto:legal@stockyatra.com).
1.Purpose of This Policy
This Trademark Policy explains how you may — and may not — use the names, logos and brand marks that identify StockYatra and Lacspace. It forms part of, and must be read together with, our Terms of Use and Copyright & IP policy.
- 1.1StockYatra is an educational paper-trading simulator operated by Lacspace Corporation Pvt. Ltd. Our name and look are how learners recognise and trust us. This policy protects that trust.
- 1.2By using our marks in any way, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, do not use our marks.
- 1.3"You" means any individual or entity that uses, or wishes to use, any of our marks, whether or not you use the Service.
2.Our Marks
The following are trademarks of Lacspace, whether or not registered:
- 2.1Our marks include, without limitation:
- the name "StockYatra" and the StockYatra logo;
- the name "Lacspace" and the Lacspace logo;
- the StockYatra candle brand mark;
- any distinctive taglines, wordmarks, icons, colour treatments and other brand elements we use to identify the Service.
- 2.2Together we call these our "Marks". Rights in unregistered marks are protected by law in the same way as registered ones.
- 2.3We may add to, retire or change our Marks at any time. The current, approved forms are those we publish or provide to you.
3.Ownership & Goodwill
- 3.1All rights in our Marks, and all goodwill associated with them, belong exclusively to Lacspace.
- 3.2This policy does not transfer or license any right in our Marks to you. Nothing you do — including any permitted reference — gives you ownership of, or any interest in, our Marks.
- 3.3Any goodwill that arises from your use of our Marks accrues solely to Lacspace. You must not challenge, or assist anyone in challenging, our ownership of the Marks or register anything confusingly similar to them.
4.Permitted Referential Use
You may make honest, factual reference to StockYatra without our permission — this is called nominative use — provided you follow the rules below.
- 4.1You may use the word "StockYatra" in plain text to refer truthfully to our product or company — for example, to state that your content, tutorial or integration "works with StockYatra" or "is compatible with StockYatra".
- 4.2When you make such a reference, you must:
- use only as much of the Mark as you need, and only the word mark in plain text — not our logos or the candle brand mark;
- make clear that you are referring to, and are not, StockYatra or Lacspace;
- not imply any partnership, sponsorship, endorsement, affiliation or official status that we have not granted in writing.
- 4.3Always spell and capitalise our Marks correctly ("StockYatra", "Lacspace"), and use them as adjectives, never as verbs or in the plural or possessive form of a common noun.
5.Prohibited Uses
You must not, and must not permit anyone else to:
- 5.1Use any of our Marks — or anything confusingly similar — in the name of your product, company, application, service, social-media account, domain name or URL.
- 5.2Alter, recolour, distort, animate, translate, abbreviate or combine our logo or candle brand mark with any other name, mark or element, or recreate them in a different style.
- 5.3Adopt a name, logo, look or feel that is confusingly similar to any of our Marks, or that is likely to cause confusion about the source, sponsorship or affiliation of your goods or services.
- 5.4Produce, sell or distribute merchandise, apparel or other goods bearing our Marks.
- 5.5Use our Marks in a way that implies partnership, sponsorship, endorsement, certification or approval by StockYatra or Lacspace where none has been given in writing.
- 5.6Use our Marks in connection with anything unlawful, misleading, defamatory or that breaches our Acceptable Use policy, or in a manner that disparages or damages our reputation or goodwill.
- 5.7Use our Marks as, or as part of, a keyword, metatag, hashtag or advertising term in a way designed to divert users or suggest an association we have not authorised.
6.Requesting Brand Assets or Permission
- 6.1If you would like to use our Marks in a way this policy does not already permit, or you need official logo files or other brand assets, ask us first at legal@stockyatra.com.
- 6.2Tell us who you are and exactly how, where and for how long you intend to use the Mark. We review requests case by case and may grant, refuse or condition permission at our discretion.
- 6.3Any permission we give is limited to the specific use we approve, is non-exclusive and non-transferable, and may be withdrawn at any time. You must use the exact asset we supply, without modification.
7.Press & Media Use
- 7.1Journalists, reviewers and commentators may use the StockYatra word mark and, where appropriate, our logo to report on or refer to StockYatra, provided the use is truthful, non-misleading and does not imply endorsement of a product or opinion.
- 7.2When using our logos for editorial purposes, please follow our brand guidelines at lacspace.com/brand, which set out approved forms, spacing and colours.
- 7.3For interviews, official assets, or questions about media use, contact legal@stockyatra.com.
8.Third-Party Trademarks
- 8.1"NEPSE", stock symbols, company names and other third-party marks that appear on the Service belong to their respective owners. We claim no rights in them.
- 8.2We use such marks only nominatively, to identify securities and markets for educational purposes. StockYatra is not registered with, licensed by, affiliated with or endorsed by SEBON, NEPSE or any listed company, as explained in our Regulatory & Compliance policy.
- 8.3Nothing on the Service should be read as claiming ownership of, or sponsorship by, any third-party mark, and your use of the Service gives you no right in those marks.
9.Reporting Trademark Misuse
- 9.1If you believe our Marks are being used without authorisation, or in a way that infringes our rights or confuses users, please tell us at legal@stockyatra.com with enough detail for us to investigate.
- 9.2If you believe content on the Service infringes your own trademark rights, you may also use the notice-and-takedown process set out in our Copyright & IP policy.
- 9.3We investigate reports in good faith but do not guarantee any particular outcome or timeframe.
10.Enforcement
- 10.1We take the integrity of our Marks seriously. Where we reasonably believe you have used our Marks without authorisation or in breach of this policy, we may require you to stop the use, correct it, or remove the offending material.
- 10.2We may pursue any remedy available to us at law or in equity, and may report the matter to the relevant authorities or platforms. Our failure to act on any misuse does not waive our right to act on it, or any other misuse, later.
11.Changes to This Policy
- 11.1We may update this Trademark Policy from time to time. The current version is always the one published at stockyatra.com/legal/trademark, and the effective date at the top reflects the latest revision.
- 11.2Material changes will be notified through the Service or by other reasonable means. Continued use of our Marks after a change means you accept the updated policy.
12.Contact
- 12.1Questions about our Marks, permission requests, or reports of misuse: legal@stockyatra.com.
