- We may terminate accounts of repeat infringers.
1.Our Intellectual Property
This Copyright & IP policy explains who owns what on StockYatra and how to report infringement. It forms part of, and must be read together with, our Terms of Use.
- 1.1The Service — the StockYatra website, mobile apps and any related service (together, the "Service") — together with its software, source code, design, layout, look and feel, user interfaces, text, graphics, illustrations, icons, audio, video, and the StockYatra name, are owned by or licensed to Lacspace Corporation Pvt. Ltd. ("Lacspace", "we", "us").
- 1.2All such material is protected by copyright, trademark, database and other intellectual-property laws in Nepal and internationally. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved.
- 1.3Nothing in this policy or on the Service transfers to you any ownership of, or intellectual-property right in, the Service or any part of it.
2.Your Limited Licence to Use It
- 2.1Subject to your compliance with our Terms of Use and Acceptable Use policy, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for lawful, personal, non-commercial learning.
- 2.2This licence does not let you copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, publicly display, sell, sublicense or create derivative works from the Service or its content, except as this policy expressly permits or applicable law allows.
- 2.3You may not remove, obscure or alter any copyright, trademark or other proprietary notice on the Service or its content.
- 2.4The licence ends automatically if you breach the Terms, and we may suspend or revoke it at any time as described there.
3.Trademarks & Brand
- 3.1"StockYatra" and "Lacspace", together with their logos, wordmarks and brand assets, are trademarks of Lacspace. Other product, company and market names may be trademarks of their respective owners.
- 3.2"NEPSE", stock symbols and third-party names that appear on the Service are used nominatively, for educational reference only. Their appearance does not imply any affiliation with, endorsement by, or sponsorship from their owners. See our Regulatory & Compliance notice for more.
- 3.3You gain no right to use our trademarks or brand assets by using the Service.
4.Permitted vs Prohibited Brand Use
To protect the brand and avoid confusion:
- 4.1You may refer to "StockYatra" in plain text to describe or link to the Service factually and accurately — for example, in an article, review or tutorial.
- 4.2You must not, without our prior written consent:
- use our name, logos or brand assets in a way that suggests we endorse, sponsor or are affiliated with you, your product or your content;
- alter, distort, recolour or combine our logos with other marks;
- use our marks in a domain name, app name, social-media handle, product name or advertising;
- use our marks in any misleading, disparaging or unlawful manner.
- 4.3For any brand, logo or partnership request, contact legal@stockyatra.com.
5.User Content — What You Post
- 5.1You keep ownership of the content you create and submit through the Service — posts, comments, messages and other material ("User Content"). This policy does not take your ownership away.
- 5.2By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt, publish, display and distribute it for the purpose of operating, promoting and improving the Service. This licence is consistent with, and limited by, our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
- 5.3You confirm that you own your User Content or have all rights needed to grant this licence, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
- 5.4The licence you grant continues for User Content that remains on the Service or that others have shared before you removed it, and to the extent needed for backups, records and legal compliance.
6.Respecting Others' IP
- 6.1You must not upload, post, share, link to or otherwise use any material that infringes another person's copyright, trademark, database, moral or other intellectual-property rights.
- 6.2You must not use the Service to copy, distribute or make available content you do not have the right to share.
- 6.3We take infringement seriously and will act on valid reports as set out below, in line with our Community Guidelines and Acceptable Use policy.
7.Notice-and-Takedown: Reporting Infringement
If you are a rights-holder (or authorised to act for one) and believe material on the Service infringes your rights, send us a written notice. A valid notice must include:
- 7.1The following information, so we can assess and act on your report:
- identification of the copyrighted work or other right you say has been infringed;
- identification of the infringing material, and its exact location — a URL or enough detail for us to find it;
- your contact details — full name, postal address, email address and, if available, a telephone number;
- a good-faith statement that the use complained of is not authorised by you, your agent or the law;
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate;
- a statement that, under penalty of perjury or the equivalent, you are the rights-holder or authorised to act on the rights-holder's behalf;
- your physical or electronic signature.
- 7.2Incomplete notices may delay or prevent us acting. Do not send abusive or knowingly false notices — submitting a materially false claim may expose you to liability.
8.Where to Send a Notice
- 8.1Send infringement notices to our copyright agent at copyright@stockyatra.com. This is the correct and fastest route for all copyright and IP complaints.
- 8.2On receiving a valid notice, we may remove or disable access to the material, notify the person who posted it, and take any further action we consider appropriate under our policies.
9.Counter-Notice Procedure
If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to copyright@stockyatra.com.
- 9.1A valid counter-notice must include:
- identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal;
- your name, postal address, email address and telephone number;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury or the equivalent, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification;
- your physical or electronic signature.
- 9.2We may forward your counter-notice, including your contact details, to the person who made the original complaint. We may, at our discretion, restore the material where it is appropriate to do so, but we are not obliged to.
10.Repeat-Infringer Policy
- 10.1We may, in appropriate circumstances and at our discretion, warn, suspend or permanently terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe, or are repeatedly the subject of valid infringement notices.
- 10.2We may also remove infringing material, restrict features, and report unlawful activity to the relevant authorities, consistent with our Terms of Use.
11.Third-Party & Open-Source Components
- 11.1The Service includes third-party and open-source software, libraries, fonts, icons and other components that remain the property of their respective owners and are used under their own licences.
- 11.2Those components are governed by their own licence terms, which prevail over this policy for that component. Nothing here grants you rights in third-party material beyond what those licences allow.
- 11.3Market data displayed on the Service is simulated and provided for education only, as explained in our Risk Disclaimer; it is not a live or official feed.
12.Press, Media & Permitted Brand Use
- 12.1Journalists and media may refer to StockYatra factually and use our name in editorial coverage. For logos, screenshots and approved brand assets, please follow our brand guidelines at lacspace.com/brand.
- 12.2For interviews, media enquiries or permission beyond ordinary editorial use, contact legal@stockyatra.com.
13.Changes to This Policy
- 13.1We may update this Copyright & IP policy from time to time. The current version is always the one published at stockyatra.com/legal/copyright, and the effective date at the top reflects the latest revision.
- 13.2Material changes will be notified through the Service or by other reasonable means. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
