Which markets can I practise? +
Three today, all on one account: 🇳🇵 Nepal — NEPSE-listed companies, priced in Rs.; 🇮🇳 India — NSE large caps such as RELIANCE and TCS, priced in ₹; and 🇺🇸 Forex — US stocks such as AAPL and NVDA, priced in $. That's 30 stocks per market, 90 in total — and more markets are on the way.
How do coins work across markets? +
Coins are what you trade with, and one balance covers every board. Every account starts with 10,000 free coins. When you trade an India or Forex stock, its ₹ or $ price is converted into coins at a practice exchange rate, so you never need to hold rupees or dollars. Coins are for practice inside the app; they aren't real money and can't be cashed out.
Are the prices real? +
They're live-simulated for practice. Every stock ticks through the day on our market engine, anchored to the company's real-world price level, so it moves and feels like a real market. It isn't an official exchange feed and may differ from real quotes — so never use it for real-money decisions. Nothing on StockYatra is a recommendation to buy or sell.
Can I lose real money trading? +
Not in the market — every trade is paper, settled in coins, so trading can never cost you real money. The only real spend is optional: unlocking a course for Rs. 10–20 from your learning wallet. Coins have no cash value and can't be withdrawn.
Do I need a demat account or KYC? +
No — not for Nepal, India or Forex. Because you're not trading real securities, there's no demat or broker account, no KYC and no onboarding. You can place your first trade within a minute of signing up.
Can I practise when the exchange is closed? +
Yes. The practice market runs round the clock, so you can trade after work in any timezone. The session clocks on this page show each real exchange's hours — Kathmandu, Mumbai and New York — for reference.
